Palm Tungsten C Handheld Includes Mergic PPTP in ROM
First Palm OS Handheld to include integrated VPN Support in ROM
SAMMAMISH, Wash., April 23, 2003 - Mergic, Inc., announced that a version of its
Mergic™
Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP)
VPN client is included in the ROM of the new Palm™
Tungsten C
handheld. The Tungsten C handheld is the first Palm OS device to include an
integrated VPN client. This integrated VPN support enables individuals needing
behind-the-firewall access to securely check email, browse the web or company
intranet and wirelessly synchronize with their desktop to back up information
and manage email.
